Differentiate between essay and paragraph.

An essay is an important form of writing containing ideas on a particular topic, elaborating on its introduction, the analysis, facts and analogies in order to substantiate the relevance of the topic. It is divided roughly into three parts and further sub divided into paragraphs. A collection of ideas and content are put in the form of paragraphs of a particular topic is an essay. On the other hand, a paragraph contains a similar idea written in about eight to ten lines with content revolving around the same them. In simple words, a collection of paragraphs put in a sequence is called an essay and paragraph deals with one idea in a limited space.

Q.3. "Article writing is different and paragraph writing is different". Explain.

Ans. Both article and paragraph discusses any topic with highlights, still both are different at their core. A paragraph is a bunch of sentences that are grouped together as they are usually about a similar topic whereas an article is a bunch of paragraphs about a similar topic. A paragraph usually consists of atleast five sentence. One introductory, three sup porting and one concluding but the secrets of paragraph writing lies in the unity, clearity and inter-relationship of all sentences. Whereas, article is written for the purpose of it to be published in a newspaper, magazine or journal. As it is written for a wide audience, so it is essential to attract and retain the readers.

  "Punctuality'

Punctuality is the essence of success. Being punctual is being with time. An unpunctual man is always after the clock. He reaches the station when the train is left, reaches to interview after it is over, posts letter after the box is closed. He is always behind success. He is a general disturber to the society. He disturbs everyone coming in contact whereas a punctual man is with the clock. He completes his work on time. None of his work is left pending, completing work on time fills him with confidence that takes him towards success. Punctual man corrects the whole system. He is liked by all. He is never worried about any issues. He is liked and praised everywhere in the society.

 

                                                     'Uses of Water'

Water is the most important element for life. We can go without food for long but not without water. Our human body is 60-70% water. It is the basic necessity of life. There are so many uses of water. It is used for drinking, working, bathing, washing, cleaning etc. Not only humans, plants, animals also need water. Without water life can not be possible. Water is vital for chemical reactions in digestion metabolism. It carries nutrients and oxygen to the cell through the blood and helps to cool the body through perspiration. By not drinking enough water many people may gain weight. Keeping healthy means drinking adequate water daily. It regulates the temperature and helps washing off toxins. And so it is the duty of every individual to save water. We should not waste it at any cost so that our future generation will also have this treasure of nature.

 

.                                                 'Girl Education'

Education is one of the important instrument or weapon to live life happily. Our constitution has also observed it as a fundamental right. To have education is the right of every individual. This right is enjoyed by everyone irrespective of his sex. Whether it is boy or girl education must be imparted. Girls are the mother of tomorrow. No nation can progress unless women are made part of its workforce and given equal opportunities to excel in various walks of life. A nation's workforce need to be educated and so the girls. Importance of girl's education has been recognized on a global scale. An educated mother brings up her children better. Grown up educated girls can play an important role in the development of their country. They can share the burden of men in the different walks of life. They can serve the society as lawyers, teachers, doctors etc. Education of girls has positive impact on both economy and society. The progress of a country depends on girl's education. So girl's education should be encouraged.

 

'Pen is mightier than Sword'

The power of a pen is enormously larger than a sword. What a sharp edged sword can't achieve can be achieved by the help of a minute tip of a pen. A war always ends in killings and death, loss and tears. There is no end of the tunnel when a war is there and even if it comes, there is no light. Writing is priceless. Learning gained from writings, reading books lasts forever. It can never be destructive. It is said, "Books are the best companion" and also that "Books are the treasure house of knowledge". How true these quotes are. Books give us the freedom to think. They make us fearless. Books are the best way to learn about the places where we can't travel to, in person. Books take us to a journey having no boundaries. Writings has created wars during peace. Writing has made the whole world unite to fight against an evil. A book can turn dark into light, slavery into freedom, dumbs into speech, weak into powerful, and poor into rich

 

                                    'A little knowledge is a dangerous thing'

It is so well said that a little learning is a dangerous thing. It means that superficial knowledge is worse than ignorance. A person with little knowledge puts more harm or is more dangerous than the one who has not at all any knowledge. No knowledge is regarded better than half knowledge. Having incomplete knowledge of any thing proves to be a threat to the person himself and people around him. Less knowledge may sometimes be life threatening An ignorant person is less harmful. For example, a person having less knowledge of medicines may suggest it to the person allergic to it or may not think about its side effects and may prove dangerous.

                                                

                                                    ‘Honesty is the best policy'

There is a very old saying that among all honesty is the best. An honest person is like a gem. Everyone likes him, trusts him. Whereas a dishonest i never liked by anyone. He hurts the faith of all. The person who is honest by heart is welcomed everywhere. He never does harm to anyone. Being honest to oneself and to others make you close to God. An honest man lives a contented life and have nothing to regret. His honesty also takes him to the path of success. One should always try to be honest to all.

                                          

                                              'A friend in need is a friend indeed’

Everyone has a good number of friends. But many of them are for the name sake. The one who stands by your side in every storm, in every ups and downs is the real friend. There are people who like to be with you in all good times and as soon as the time changes they also change, they leave your hand when you require it most. Actually it is the bad time which teaches you the correct definition of a true friend. The one who is actually a true friend will remain unchanged, will help, hold and suggest to his level best. He will not leave you in any condition. Thus, it is said that the people who are there in the time of need are the true friends indeed.

 

                          'Clean India'

Mahatma Gandhi once stated that "Sanitation is more important than Independence. Thus, he encouraged his fellow citizens to always live a clean and hygienic life. Same drive was once again revived by Narendra Modi. The target is to first stamp out open defecation system. It further includes elimination of manual scavenging, strengthening, sanitation sys tem in rural and urban areas and motivating people to spread cleanliness. Today it is no less than fundamental duty of every Indian to keep his country clean. With the combined efforts only it can achieved. As it is said, clean India is healthy India.

 

                                                              'Unemployment'

Today with the advancement of technology where ten people were required only a single man can do the work with all machines and gadgets. Thus, saving time and manpower but resulting in unemployment. It has become a challenge today to cope or overcome this problem. To eradicate it, our education system need to be rectified. It is designed in such a way that it creates people for only white collar jobs. No work is small. Vocational training must be made compulsory in school. The another reason is population growth also. Number of people who require jobs is more than the number of jobs available. Thus, we also need to get on it.

 

 

'Computers in everyday life'

In the current world, it's almost impossible to imagine that someone can live without computers. They have become an electronic device of almost everyday use for individuals of every age and essential in almost all business dealings that are made nowadays, Computing can help businesses by making their staff efficient and productive. In schools, they aid teaching learning process. Help researchers to do their work fast and get references easily. Computers have become a vital gadget in several sectors: Railways, banking, electricity, telephone departments, communications etc..

 

'Corruption'

There are a number of evils ruling our country. One of them is corruption. It is a form of dishonest or unethical conduct by a person entrusted with a position of authority often to acquire personal benefit. It may include many activities including bribery and embezzlement, though it may also involve practices that are legal in many countries. There are many causes behind it like higher levels of bureaucracy, inefficient administrative structure, low level of democracy, low press freedom, poverty etc. The laws and penalty must be increased to get control over corruption. If the fear of its consequences will be there in the heart and mind of people then only they will refuse to it.

                    

                     'Value of Education in your life'  Or, 'Aim of Education'

Importance of education tells us the value of education in our life. Education means a lot in everyone's life as it facilitates our learning, knowledge and skill. It completely changes our mind and personality and helps us to attain the positive attitudes. It is the source of real happiness in our life. It develops confidence and helps building personality of a person. It gives understanding of various values of life, difference between good and bad. It gives an insight of right understanding of problems and their solutions. It moulds the way a person thinks, reacts, speaks etc.. Education is must for both men and women equally as both together make a healthy and educated society. Educated citizens are responsible for better future.

 

'Use of Electronic Media'

Electronic media is the one that use electronics to access the content. Electronic media specially the internet and cell phones, are a major form of communication. The primary electronic media sources familiar to the general public are video recordings, audio record ings, slide presentation CD-ROM etc. Most new media are in the form of digital media. Electronic media devices have found their way into all parts of modern life. Various fields where such devices used are journalism, education, science, engineering, commerce, market ing etc.

                                                      

                                                       'Environmental Pollution'

Any foreign material which is harmful when gets mix with air, water or soil causes pollution. Environmental pollution is the biggest issue today. In it on its increasing grapple. Pollution is the process of making land, water, air or other parts of the environment dirty and unsafe or unsuitable to use. Toxic pollution affects more than 200 million people worldwide. Various types of environmental pollution are land, water, air, soil, sound etc.. Pollution in any of its form is a threat to mankind. Human activities are responsible for every type of pollution. So, to control pollution man must check his own activities.

 

                                                                      'Social Media'

It is the collective of online communication channels dedicated to community based input interaction, content sharing and collaboration. Social media plays a very important role in society building. It has become an integral part of life online as social websites and applications. An indespensable part of today's man social media whatever its type may be is one of the biggest instrument in bringing awareness among people. Social issues can be brought to people's home through social media. If used with care it can prove a strong weapon for change.

 

'Drug Addiction'

Drug addiction is another evil ruling our society, running in its blood and running our people specially youngsters. May be on the name of fashion, status or pleasure youngsters today are getting attracted like any thing to these drugs. Everybody knows the ill effects of drug specially on health still people are addicted to it. It starts with the reason to have heavenly pleasured for couple of second and very soon captures the brain and becomes a habits. People should understand its consequences government should run awareness programmes to get control over it.

 

                                                                       Afforestation'

The word afforestation is the antonyms of deforestation. Afforestation refers to plant ing of trees. It includes check on cutting of forests for construction or other reasons. By understanding the importance and need of trees, steps are taken to control cutting and clearing of forests. Various plantation programmes are run by social committees, schools, colleges etc. in which plantation of trees is done. Afforestation is like a boon. It is the only source to save nature and ultimately human life.

                                                     

                                                            Rain Water Harvesting

In agriculture, water is the most important element for harvesting a crop. Most of the farmers in India are dependent upon Monsoon for irrigating their land. When Monsoon fails then it has direct impact on the farmer's livelihood. Rain water harvesting actually addresses this problem by digging up ponds and lakes so that adequate supply of water is maintained throughout the year. Water recharging should be encouraged in every household so that ground water level is sufficient during other season. Rain water can be stored in reservoirs and lakes which will make the soil of the area fertile. And our farmers will become self sufficient.
